They don't have that choice when one man begins a dictatorship of KY politics. 2. In no way, shape, or form is the society "gambling" to solve their problems.
June 24, 200917 yr If you had it your way how would you like the issue to be handled? Personally I think local governments should be allowed to vote on how much gambling they allow in their community. That way the areas that don't want it don't get it...but they also don't get any of the profits. I see it playing out like this. Louisville, NKY, and Lexington plus all of the Catholic strongholds in the state will allow expanded gambling. The predominantly Protestant areas of the state won't allow it. That would not be consistent with how other "sin tax revenue" is currently handled, would it?

Cause I sure thought you still had the choice to do that in this country. Or are you just upset that it is not CONVENIENT for you? Cause I live in the country and have to drive 40 minutes to Kroger's and would love for the state to put a Kroger's close to me so it is a lot more convenient for me to get my Ding Dongs.

So in one sense, all of Kentuckians are a community and we are deciding this as a state. Same as in some decisions our community of the USA decides things for all the land. My point is: 1.
