June 24, 200917 yr Governor was in Argentina when he went missing. Sanford has been one of my favorite high profile politicians for several years and I actually find it refreshing that a governor also needs to "get away" sometimes.

The issue isn't really "what" as much as it is "why didn't you tell anyone including your family?" "Why did you as the head of the state's National Guard not let your Lt Gov know where you were or how to get in touch with you?" A leader doesn't simply take off without having backup plans for an emergency. Hurricane response? Tornado? Heck, take the politics out of it. A man doens't take off on his family without telling them where he is going. Bizarre situation. 2:00 presser should be interesting.
