Trainers are not required to be on sight.

 

Which IMO is the biggest problem. Everyone can say that a coach should be responsible and make sure every kid is hydrated and every precaution be taken but for most coaches they get sidetracked very easily during a practice/game. This is one reason why some states require an athletic trainer at all athletic events this includes practices.

 

I find it very sad that schools will have a football team but not have the appropriate staff to take care of the kids. To me these schools are just asking for a lawsuit.
