June 15, 200917 yr Author Imo, Spain is absolutely loaded! Torres and Villa up top, with Fabregas, Xavi, Capdevila and Alonso at mid. With Puyol, Arebola, and Albion bringing up the rear, and lets not forget about Casillas in goal. They should go at least 40 or 50 games unbeaten. What an amazing problem they'll have next year. Who do you sit, Riera, Alonso, or Iniesta??? I wish the US had that problem.
June 15, 200917 yr Anyone catch any of the Brazil-Egypt game? Absolutely unreal. This game has cemented my feeling that we likely won't win a single point in this tournament and barring a big shift between now and then, we're going to have trouble getting a point in the World Cup finals next summer.

This game has cemented my feeling that we likely won't win a single point in this tournament and barring a big shift between now and then, we're going to have trouble getting a point in the World Cup finals next summer. This will be a true measuring stick for the United States. I always pray they'll pull a shocker and give themselves some legitimacy, but I always end up disappointed.
June 15, 200917 yr AFter 20 minutes, still 0-0 Italy looks a little better, but the U.S. is competing nicely.
June 15, 200917 yr Fully deserve the lead as well. Italy have looked very suspect and lack creativity with the ball.
June 15, 200917 yr Fully deserve the lead as well. Italy have looked very suspect and lack creativity with the ball. It would be a huge win for USA soccer if they were to pull this one out.
June 15, 200917 yr Especially having to play down a man for 60 minutes. Horrible red card given to Clark.

June 15, 200917 yr The US is doing well to start the 2nd, need to keep attacking. If they try to sit in, I think they lose the match. Italians are too big and strong for the US to try and defend for 40 minutes. The US needs to avoid giving away corners and set pieces.
