June 8, 200917 yr Suspected killer warns of more violence "I know there are many other similar events planned around the country as long as abortion remains legal," Roeder, 51, said. And as well: In two separate calls to The AP yesterday, Roeder was far more talkative about his treatment at the Sedgwick County jail, complaining about "deplorable conditions in solitary" where he was kept during his first three days there. He said he called The AP because he wanted to emphasize the conditions in the jail so that in the future suspects would not have to endure the same conditions.
June 8, 200917 yr I can empathize with the sense of desperation that these people feel about legal abortion in our country, but the enormous leap in logic to think that killing abortion doctors and other acts of domestic terrorism is going to help is astonishing and deeply disappointing.
June 8, 200917 yr This country needs a hero in the worst possible way. How would one become the country's hero?
June 8, 200917 yr How would one become the country's hero? put on a mask and cape then leap tall buildings in a single bound!
June 10, 200917 yr How would one become the country's hero? I know a guy in Metropolis named Clark Kent that may be able to answer your question more thoroughly. He knows a lot about some guy named Superman or something like that.

June 11, 200917 yr ..and that others might see this as a viable way to shut down another clinic. My thoughts as well.
June 11, 200917 yr I can't say that I'm sad to see an abortion clinic close, but I hate that the killer probably feels that he was successful. To the killer, he was "successful." As sad as it sounds, I think it could work.
June 13, 200917 yr Why the outrage over the death of this doctor? He made a career out of killing. Because he's a human being as well; yes I guess his career was killing-if that's what you want to call it-but Violence is never the answer for anything. And if it was your father or other family member, I'm sure you would feel outrage too, regardless of his occupation.
June 13, 200917 yr Why the outrage over the death of this doctor? He made a career out of killing. Is it legal to gun someone down in their church? That might be some of the outrage. Further, for those that are pro-life, they realize that violence such as this sets back their cause.
