May 15, 200917 yr Covington Catholic is the only school in NKY that I know of that has a team. They seem to play Cincinnati, Louisville, and Lexington teams. Newport has a lacrosse club, but not an actual team. They mainly play scrimmages among themselves.
May 15, 200917 yr Lexington Middle schools with Lacrosse: Sayer The Lexington School Lexington Catholic Tates Creek Lexington Lizards (metro team) Northern Kentucky has a metro team named the Warriors. This past weekend the Lexington city championship was played. Northern Kentucky played Sayer in the championship game.

May 15, 200917 yr I think there are 23 high school boys teams. Doesn't there have to be at least 15% of the schools participating for the KHSAA to adopt a sport? It seems like I've seen that percentage before. With 23 teams playing out of 275 schools, you have about 9% participation.
May 15, 200917 yr I know bowling is a big "club" sport right now that may be KHSAA sanctioned in the near future too. Not sure what the participation percentage is, but apparently it's very close to the required amount.
May 16, 200917 yr Collegiate definitely came on strong at the end of the year and it looks like they gave the No. 1 team in the state all they could handle. Congrats to the Tigers.
