Thanks for proving you don't actually read my posts. :p

You got it. :thumb: I'm caught up now, though, so I get to enjoy these commercials.

What post did I miss? :idunno::lol:

Phillips crushed that ball.

7-0 Reds.

He's a perfect cleanup hitter.

Never mind I found it. Are you watching it on the computer? Why such a long delay?

I've always been torn regarding Phillips' spot in the order. He has good speed and I think he'd be solid in the 2-hole. But, I don't feel confident that he's a good enough handler of the bat (or should I say willing enough?) to do what a 2-hole hitter needs to do.

I think he has enough power to hit towards the middle of the order.

Recorded the game on the DVR. Watched the newest South Park. Went back to the game & was able to fast forward through the commercials in between innings. Caught up shortly after Bruce hit into the 6-4-3.

I'm efficient when it comes to watching TV.

South Park over the game? Why didn't you just DVR South Park?

It was DVR'ed...

South Park was recorded from a week or so ago. Got home & decided to watch South Park - it was the Pirate episode (which was pretty good.) Realized that if I was going to watch the entire episode, I'd miss 4 or so innings of the Reds' game. So, I recorded the Reds' game while I watched the already recorded South Park Episode.

That allows me to watch South Park in its entirety (minus commercials) and then watch the Reds' game on a slight delay (minus commercials). I caught up around the 5th inning and have been watching it "live" ever since.

Volquez is at 104 pitches. Why send him back out with a 7-0 lead?

Why use a "run on contact" play when you're up 3-0 in one game, but not when you're up 7-0 in another? McDonald hit that ball up the middle, too.

Could it have been that Rosales made a mistake? :sssh:

Commentators talking about how Reds need to find another 1st baseman so Dusty can give Votto a day off. Please bring up Gomes, not Castillo.

The Marlins had the infield on the edge of the grass. :sssh:

Come on CC, I know you know the game better than that.

I didn't wanna say it. As far as Votto getting a day off, the Cards come to town this weekend, and the Brewers come in for two tomorrow and thursday. I say give him tomorrow off and Hernandez plays 1st. Arroyo going tomorrow means Hanigan catches anyway.

I say the Reds make a player move tomorrow, and put Gonzo on the DL. Gomes would be a good one to play LF against lefties, and to spell Votto at 1st once a month.

:thumb: Didn't notice it the 1st time. Rewound to see if it was true. Before the pitch, it looked like the middle infield was deep, but you're right, they were in. That one's on me.

I still think Rosales made a mistake.

Regardless, I've never understood the run on contact theory, nor have I gotten a justification for it.

Nix ropes another one down the line. Hope to see him in the lineup tomorrow.
