Bengals Cut Perry (plus 4 others)

Featured Replies

Former first round pick Chris Perry was cut today, along with four other players.

Mike Doss, Nate Lawrie, Eric Henderson and Gary Russell. That sure didn't take long.

Now the question becomes, who was the bigger waste of a draft pick? Ki-Jana or Chris?

Kijana was a pretty consensus solid first round pick at the time. He just happened to get horribly injured and really never recovered. Perry was a questionable first round reach at the time the Bengals took him and also had his fair share of injuries. The Bengals obviously got less from Kijana, but that is one pick that is hard to place the blame on the Bengals (unlike about 100 others that come to mind).

And Levi Jones will be traded or released. I don't know if the link above says that too as I can't access it.

I'd love to be able to trade Levi.

I don't know if that's possible, though. I think we may have to release him. Regardless, I hope he's gone!

I wonder if the Bengals will make an attempt to re-sign Perry, at a lower price?

What is the deal with DeDe Dorsey? Will he be back?

How about Kenny Irons?

Irons and Perry aren't worth the time. Both horrible early round picks. I'd like to see the Bengals keep things in the positive mode and move on from these two.

Another good move. Lookout will move to Mexico and become a champion matador. Ole!

Irons wasn't a bad pick at the time he was made. He just turned out to be yet another in a long line of Bengal snake-bitten picks. The guy could have been a very good back had he not been so seriously injured. Perry was a huge overreach in the first round.

I tend to agree that neither are worth the time; however, I disagree with a lot of the Bengals' moves.

Kenny Irons hasn't ever even played a down in the NFL. I wouldn't be surprised to see him get an opportunity to make the roster, since he'll be cheap. We cut him & then re-signed him.

I've asked a few times and have not gotten any responses.

What in the world is DeDe Dorsey's story?

What's the world coming too? Three straight days of good decision-making by the Bengals...:scared:

It's almost scary.

But, I must take one jab at the Bengals.

How do you sign an RB & then cut him less than 2 weeks later? (Gary Russell).

I would say they like the guys drafted at the position more than him.
