April 26, 200917 yr Anyone see this show? They take some of the greatest warriors from history, analyze their strengths/weaknesses, weapons and tactics feed them into a computer sinulation to determine head-to-head winners. Some of the warriors so far: apache, gladiators, ninja, samuri, vikings, pirates... Pretty neat show!
April 26, 200917 yr I watched it today where they matched a ninja against a spartan. They said that the spartan would defeat the ninja over 60% of the time.
May 23, 200917 yr Results from the show so far. If you haven't watched the show they scientifically measure the effectiveness of various weapons then run 1,000 simulations to determine the winner. Afterwards they is a staged fight scene based on the data. This show is great. Apache over Spartan (Thought the Spartan would win) Samurai over Viking (Pretty much what I thought) Spartan over Ninja (Kind of a shock after smaller guys had won first two) Pirate over Knight (The Pirate had two guns, TWO GUNS..fair?) Mafia over Yakuza (The Ice Pick was awesome) Spetsnaz over Green Beret (If the Fat Out of Shape GB could shoot a pistol GB would have won this one) Shaolin Monk over Maori (Your not going to beat Grasshopper) Next up.... William Wallace vs Shaka Zulu (No clue how this will play out, if Shaka has a Captured British Rifle I'll take him)
May 23, 200917 yr What other match-ups would be good to see? The show says these are only between people or groups that have never actually met in combat. So no re-fighting the Little Bighorn with the 7th Calvary vs the Sioux. How about Sioux Indians versus Vietcong

May 27, 200917 yr Awesome show, I love it and have caught every episode. I have also been surprised a couple different times by thinking the Gladiator and Green Beret would win. Also thought the Maori would win because all of the bone crushing and devastating weapons they had compared to the non-lethal but effective weapons the Shaolin's had. Guess it really is true that speed kills.

June 4, 200917 yr I think so, too. Gurkas would be a challenge for them. How about American Civil War Infantry vs. Napoleonic Infantry? Cro-Magnon vs Neanderthal? (I think we already know who pulls that one out.)

June 4, 200917 yr I really don't care for this show. I do like the in-depth examinations they take in looking at the different weapons but in the end it's really all bull as to who would win in a fight.
