Who is Pitching?

HC has the ALL A and Doc this weekend so pitching wise not sure who they will throw. Not Roenker or Stewart though.

I have no clue who will pitch for CCH.

 

Is this a seed game? I know they're bringing up a JV pitcher for Friday. No clue who will pitch against HC.

Not Nutini or Isler or Krumme for CCH. I'd say either Gerwe, Warning, or Shlagbaum will start with Klein coming in relief.

Clyde this is not a district game as the players and their parents were only told about this game, at the end of the Boone County game. Isler, Nutini, Krumme or Darner will not pitch for CovCath! My guess it will be pitching by committee with a lot of young guys going two innings or less. You might even see some very young pitchers on the mound over the course of the next two games and I hope one very young frosh gets to pitch at least to one batter.

As for a prediction, I'll take CovCath 12-4.

How'd that game end up? And I got CovCath 11-10. High scoring game noone will throw their studs today.

I think the score is all dependent upon CovCath's young guys pitching today. The Colonels will score their runs against weaker pitching, but can Holy Cross score enough against CovCath's weaker pitching? I'm sure they can because of late the young guys have not contributed a lot.

Has Maile hit any out yet? Seems as though it's been pretty quiet lately about him. Or the even bigger question is he even seeing any to hit out?

He hasn't although there was one questionable at Dixie that a lot of people thought was out but the umpire thought it hit the fence, and not the foul pole. Other than that it's been mostly doubles and singles. He's probably sittin' somewhere in the .400 range for his season batting average. He started slow but he's something like 5 of his last 6 in the past two games.

The call at Dixie was indeed the correct one. If the ball would have been 2 feet higher it would have hit the yellow but the way it was it hit the fence.
