Everyone's expectations were unrealistically high.

Give him time - he's still only 22 years old (23, at the max).

Even if the expectations were only "high" and not "unrealistically high", he's still be a big disapointment. He should be further along than what he is at this point and, frankly, just never seems to make much progress.

He's not as far behind as Volquez was going into last year.

How much longer before you lose the stupid donkey? (the stupid donkey in the avatar, not Adam Dunn)

At least he showed some passion.

He is only 22, he could still be pretty good.

Couple more weeks.

Came to the show with one pitch a low 90's fastball....and ok to decent command.

He needs a change of scenery. I say bring him up for 2 starts. If he makes 2 bad starts, send him back down. If he still does bad in AAA, I say maybe try to trade him.

Who are you going to send down?

Who are you going to send down?

Alternatively, who are you going to trade him for?

Its a given you need 6 starters. 5 in the bigs and one waiting in the wings to get through a season. But I could see them dealing him still somewhat a prospect for another prospect. For whatever the reason may be he is not developing in the Reds organization maybe another pitching coach can revive him. I still think they wait till after this year then you gotta really look at things.
