Track the Stanley Cup Playoffs

Pittsburgh had to survive a couple of incredible chances by Detroit. First came a 1 on 1 that Fleury made an incredible save on, and then later an empty net chance after Fleury had made a save, and Scoderi managed to stop the puck with his skate!

That was huge! Scuderi also had a save a few minutes before that when he slapped away a rebound that landed to Fluery's right with an open net. The Pens have won 3 out of the last 4 games, but have only scored 2 goals in 3 games in Detroit.

Lets go Pens!!!! :ylsuper:

Pittsburgh holds a tenuous 1-0 lead as we approach the end of the 2nd period.

I have stopped posting during games, it seems like bad thing happen when I do. Yes, I am superstitious... :D

My two favorite words.....Game Seven!!!

I dont' watch or really even follow hockey during the season like you guys do.

However, the Stanley Cup is a different animal. I'll watch it befor I watch the Lakers/Magic and I'm a big b-ball guy.

I can not wait for the game Friday night!

The Penguins have got to keep bodies on the Red Wings. They did an excellent job on both the forecheck and disrupting the Wings movement through the neutral zone last night. They've just got to stay out of the sin bin.

Today is the big day! GAME 7!!! I am attending a friends wedding, so I will have to record this and watch it later.

Fluery needs another big game, heck all the young Penguin stars need to shine tonight! The Wings have been so good at home, but the pens have showed they can play well at times at the Joe, just need to do it for 60 minutes.

Now I hope the Pens come away victorious, but if not, they have closed the gap between them and the wings...

LETS GO PENS!!! :ylsuper:

Pittsburgh is up 1-0 midway through the second period, but one development is that Sidney Crosby has gone to the dressing room after a vicious hit causes him to barely be able to make it to the bench.

Pittsburgh survives the first Detroit power play. Each team has had a power play and come up empty.

Pittsburgh gets another one, this time off a 2 on 1. So Pitt is up 2-0, equaling in this game their total goals in the first three games in Detroit combined.

Maxime Talbot is playing the game of his life. And Jordan Stall is a beast on the forecheck tonight.

I hate Hockey but this is a decent game 7.

Detroit gets their second power play of the night. Three minutes into the third period.

Pittsburgh survives the potent Detroit power play unit for the second time tonight, and it's about 6:30 into the third period. But Detroit has come out very aggressive, and most of the period has been spent in the Penguin zone. Right now Pittsburgh is just playing very defensively, making their line changes, and maintaining the lead.

Crosby appears to be done for the game/playoffs.
