I think Memphis' idea is to keep some of the recruits because of Pastner, and he would also recruit well in the future. I think they also believe that he will use the DDM and that will keep and attract more. I don't know if he'll be the hire, but he is one of three possible that I am hearing. I guess this means that the Pitino boz are gone. Rock Solid! Are you talking about Ford and Pelphrey for this job or what? I have no idea.

April 6, 200917 yr Only if you count games on the AAU circuit. If he has no coaching experience, he would be a terrible hire, IMO. He may be a great recruiter, but it takes more than just getting the players on campus - especially at the DI level.

I don't think it would be a terrible hire. A risky hire? Yes. Terrible? Not so much. I think he could really succeed at a program like Memphis, playing other teams like SMU, Tulane, Rice, etc. Everyone has to start somewhere.
