Featured Replies

The Knights AAU tournament is this weekend. Looks like teams from all over will be there. Any teams from KY playing?

Why is this? Seriously.

I would agree with slemac also. It probably has something to do with the fact that the Knights coaches run the Sports Plus facility. If you are signing the refs paychecks, I guess you might get a call or two.

That is generous afi. Two is no big deal. Two per quarter is a bigger issue and more probable.

Wow. How do they continue to draw lots of teams each year?

Georgetown Thunder played there last year and played the Knights in pool play and the finals, losing by 3 both times. But, I didn't think the officials were the reason we lost both times.

The reason the Knights continue to have a good field is they are a top program in the nation. They have won a couple of national titles with one of their younger teams and their teams compete year in and year out. Top teams come to play each other there. KY Elite 13U had planned on playing, but after Indianapolis, St. Louis and Louisville in three straight weeks, it's time for a break.

Do they usually post the teams playing in each age group? I went to the Knights website and there is nothing on there yet..

Things have changed greatly since last year!!!!

True. Last year, the event wasn't held at Sports Plus, it was in local gyms throughout Cincinnati.

Things have changed greatly since last year!!!!

For better or worse?

We have had a couple of teams play in the Sports Plus under the new management team. It has been a disaster!! Very poorly run tournaments and lack of communication.

We will not be sending any teams back.

My recomondation for anyone looking to play that weekend to look elsewhere.

For better or worse?

WORSE!

Brackets are out and the tournament is loaded at every age bracket.

90 plus teams over all. Should be a great weekend of basketball in Cincinnati.
