I think it makes more sense to move someone from the 14th to the 15th and leave the 16th alone. I don't see them moving Letcher into the 15th.

 

Knott Central was in the 15th in the original plan, then you could just move Harlan County into the 14th.

I didn't touch the 16th region except for adding Montgomery County. I moved Letcher Co schools instead of the Knott Co schools from 14th to 15th. It could be switched. Harlan has to be in the 14th though for the region for them to have enough teams in that region.

The KHSAA board member is from Letcher Central. They aren't moving.

No way does the 16th, 61st District add Montgomery Co. and create a 5 team district, especially when Rowan Co. Superintendent Marvin Moore is on the KHSAA Board of Control. That is one thing for certain that will not happen.

I guess if we have a power struggle here we could move Montgomery into the 11th and move some teams around in those districts.

Your forgetting that more than likely either next year or the year after Fleming Co. will be moving back to the 39th District and 10th Region, if all the rumors that have been circulating are true. Then Montgomery Co. will be in only a 4 team district.

Does the 61st District hold the tournament also at MSU, if so, if Montgomery Co. moves into the district and 16th Region, I am sure the fans that built that new gym and not getting to host the district and region will be singing the blues.

This may be true, but they are only 2 votes on the Board of Control, and if the rest of the board votes against them, well, the aye's have it.

It goes from school to school. This year it was at Menifee Co.
