Sportsmaniac's Redistricting 9th and 10th Region

Featured Replies

You can't take Harrison out of the 10th because then you wouldn't have 16 teams in the 10th region. Also taking out Clark Co, Montgomery, Paris, and Bourbon. Only Clark has won the region recently. You are adding Highlands, Newport Catholic, and Newport. I think that is comparable in talent. Definately would make it easier to host region at BOK.

I understand what your saying, but there is no rule saying there has to be at least 16 teams per Region. Besides, if you read my earlier post, Fleming Co. (by all the other threads on realighnment) will becoming back into the 10th Region and the 39th District, therefore Harrison Co. can be moved into the 8th or 11th Regions.

If you are going to have 4 team districts then you have to have 16 teams per region. If Fleming Co comes back from the 16th region who takes their place in that region?

Montgomery Co!

When are they supposed to be re-districting everything?

Before the 2010-2011 season.

As an HC faithful I would love to see this.:thumb:

Montgomery Co!

Don't see that happening...see thread on 15th and 16th region.

I did, but if the point of redistricting as far as the 10th Region is concerned, to make room for, balance, or whatever term or reason you use, to make room for 9th Region schools, and make the 10th Region more of Northern Kentucky region, then Montgomery Co. to the 16th, Fleming Co. to the 10th, Clark, Bourbon, Paris to the 11th, and Harrison to the 11th or the 8th.

Not sure the purpose of redistricting the 10th is to make room for more 9th region teams. The purpose would be to balance out the districts and regions. I don't see Harrison Co being moved. But who knows I never thought they would move Scott Co to the 11th either. We can speculate all we want...but that is all it is speculation.

I would hate to see the 4 Boone County schools split up... Conner, Cooper, Ryle and Boone need to stay together IMO..

Why?

The current alignment has the Kenton County Schools not only in three different Districts but in three different Regions.

Dixie 34th District 9th Region

Scott 37th District 10th Region

Simon Kenton 32nd District 8th Region

When i typed it i had spaces. Here is the new alignment for the 10th. Paris was moved to the 11th with Bourbon Co and Clark Co.

Region 10

District 37

Bishop Brossart

Campbell Co

Dayton

Silver Grove

District 38

Highlands

Newport

Newport Central Catholic

Bellevue

District 39

Augusta

Bracken Co

Mason Co

Maysville St. Patrick

District 40

Deming

Harrison Co

Nicholas Co

Pendleton Co

I don't know that this will happen, but I'm sure the current 9th region teams wouldn't mind getting rid of Holmes, Boone Co., and CovCath. I know they pick up Mason Co. but I'm sure they will take the trade.

In that speculation on three of the teams you mentioned would stay in the 9th. Highlands, NCC, and Newport would be the three bigger teams going to the 10th from the 9th.
