I predict a

LCC-Hazard

KCC-Estill semi's

May the games begin!

With KCC drawing PCC, it puts Hazard in the driver's seat if they can get by LCC.

I believe the winner of the KCC-PCC game is in the driver's seat. Easier semi game and playing back to back tough games could hurt LCC or Hazard.

Should the Estill-Wolfe game be a good one? Who should be favored?

Estill is probably a slight favorite. They have two very good guards in Cackling and Hoover. They would be even a bigger factor if they hadn't lost their 6'4 center last month to an injury in a fight that occured in a tournament at Morgan County.

Being a winner in their district, this is probably the worst first round draw Perry County Central could get. But if they can get past Knott County Central, then it's clear sailing to the final game. Same for Knott County Central, if they can win the first game. In my opinion there's very little difference in Perry County Central and Knott County Central. That game is a toss-up.

The other bracket shapes up to be a semifinal match between Letcher County Central and Hazard. But, Hazard had better not take Lee County for granted. They have underacheived all year, but are capable of knocking off the Bulldogs, especially if Charles goes off the charts. Their front line is 6'6, 6'4, 6'3, and Charles the PG is also 6'3.

And Letcher County Central could very well make it into the championship game. I didn't think they could beat Knott County Central in Hindman but they proved me wrong. Their coach took Belfry to the state tournament twice, so this is not strange territory to him.

Wow, Lee won the district but definately got the worse end of the draw getting Hazard while Estill draws Wolfe. Estill gets their act together they could make a run with PCC having a tough opening game and the long travel.

Professor,

Hate to correct you, but Estill lost their starting 6'2" 4 man and Leading rebounder Kenton Roberts to a closed fist blow that he never saw at the Riverside Prep Showcase at Breathitt against Johnson Central. He makes a big difference. He suffered a concussion and broken cheek bone.

Thanks for the correction.:thumb: I just know that he was hurt and it ended his season. I just got the wrong tournament.

:thumb: After watching Letcher beat Knott the other night , they really showed me that they can handle pressure and knock down contested shots. Estill couldn't of asked for a better draw coming up as a runner-up. I see a Hazard and Knott final but could just as well be a PCC and Letcher final.

According to the KHSAA website, Lee and Hazard didn't play this year. Last year Hazard defeated Lee County 60-59 and 59-46. I agree with the Professor, Hazard had better come ready to play Wednesday night especially if the Bobcats can find a way to defend Back and Whitaker. Physically Lee County can match up with anyone in the 14th.

I think PCC will be to physical for KCC. PCC and LCC in the finals Tuesday night, with coach Raymond Justice making his fourth trip to the Sweet Sixteen. He went three consecutive years with Hager and Hilton at Belfry.
