:popcorn:Elliott County vs. West Carter Game is played at East Carter's gym.

These two teams met twice in regular season and Elliott County won both games. First game at Elliott County with the Lions winning by 21 then the second game at West Carter with the Lions winning by 12, but this game was close all the way until the last few minutes of the game.

Now it's tournament time, will Elliott County make it 3 in a roll or will West Carter pull off an upset? What are your thoughts?:thumb:

:notworthy:Mods, :notworthy:could you add a poll to this one?

Go Lions :dancingpa:dancingpaAs usual I will go with the Lions , in a tough game.

Lions win by 20.

These young men have won 22 straight district games and 26 straight region games. They have also won 44 of the last 45 region games spanning the last three seasons. Remarkable!!! How can one pick against that??

Last District loss--Dec. 19th, 2006 to East Carter 58-57 (F Troop Soph year)

Last Region loss--Jan. 21, 2008 to Rose Hill in All A 62-55 (F Trp Jr. year)

Last Region loss before that--Feb. 20, 2007 @ Russell 66-56. (F Trp Soph year)

They have also won 7 straight District Tournament games. Last district tournament loss for the F Troop was their 8th grade year.

West peaked in their second game against Elliott IMO. They will not be able to handle EC's defensive pressure and I say they win going away. Elliott 98-West 54

BigSpikes--Pretty large margin there?? Must be trying to get some dialogue going?? The last 6 quarters that Elliott has played West they have only outscored them by a total of 12 points. I would think 12-18 points would be a safer pick?? But, one thing for sure, if it is lopsided it will only be in one team's favor. Elliott would have to be clicking on all cylinders, but they have had a few games were they have been. Tournament atmosphere and pretty full house makes the conditions tough to blow them out though.

I like this West team and walking away from the second game at West I really was worried but with the latest slump by West and the fire I have seen from Elliott, I think that this one will be a good game for about two and a half quarters.

On an neutral court, I think Elliott wins by 15.

Elliott County by 22

How would you approach this game if you were Coach Webb?

Would you:

a) bring everything you have in the district championship

b) save a few plays/tricks in hopes of getting to the bigger prize championship game

How would you all approach this game?
