St. John does more for his team than anyone else. Does it mean he is the best player probally not but w/o him they would be middle of the pack or lower.

My 2nd pick would be Miller from Knox. Does it all for the Panthers and should have some consideration.

I've never known the 13th Region do an MVP award. Now they do a 13th Region Player of the year — they, I mean the coaches association, but no MVP.

If you're going for the most valuable player, then it's St. John, no one means more to his team than him. He's probably the best player in the region, too, with players like Cody Miller, James Strange, Josh Crawford and Madison Johnson not far behind.

So just because you weren't impressed with the way he played one game, that dictates him not being MVP? Now that's some funny stuff right there.

Just looked up his stats during the Clay game and he had 14 points and 16 boards. Not shabby.

Perfect season? He's had a great season, but so has St. John. Plus, St. John has played a whole lot TOUGHER schedule. But I'm not taking anyway from Strange because he is a tremendous player that I LOVE to watch play.

13TH Region Player of the year goes to a Senior. The kid who wins the award gets a invitation to the Ky vs Indiana All Star tryout. The best Seniors in the Region are Crawford, Strange, and Zachary.

If you're only looking at seniors, then Strange and Crawford are your top dogs, but Josh Smith, Josh Seidel, Jonah Mitchell and the Caldwell kid from Harlan County. Heck, you can throw in Jacob Teague and Aaron Cunningham, too. Zachary had a better season last year.

I look for Zachary to have a strong post season (I just hope its not 1 game only!!). Hes getting in better shape after the long football season.

I believe that Josh Crawford is the undoubtedly the Player of the Year since only seniors are considered. He does so many things for Corbin that helps elevate them to being one of the top 10-12 teams in the state. Remove him and insert any other 13th region senior and the Hounds would not be nearly as competitive state wide.

I took the initial question to mean Regional Tourney MVP, usually the highest scorer on the winning team.

If it's P.O.Y. that gets an All-Star Try-Out, I'd have to go with Crawford or Strange.

If it's MVP, then that's much more debatable.

Breeze: Reed is the combo guard from Clay Co.
