Mason County 61 Brossart 49

Nice win MC :thumb:

Nice win on the road for the Royals.

Good efforts by both teams!! Royals' length was just too much for the Mustangs who were outsized about 4"-5" at each postion. Pretty balanced scoring by Mason--Reiger was a man for Brossart tonight, although outsized by Setty and Barner. Very good game by Middleton!!

The 60-footer by Middleton at the end of the first quarter was nice.

Are Russ's ankles back to normal?

From what I could tell. Played most of the game, scored 17 points and handled the ball quite a bit.

Healthy enough to score around 20 tonight--Looked fine to me??

The Mason County Royals welcomed back their team leader Russ Middleton on Tuesday night, and Middleton reminded everyone why he was missed.

The Royals senior, who missed the last game with an ankle injury, scored 13 points in the first quarter on 6-of-7 shooting, and Mason County went on to defeat Bishop Brossart 61-49 on Tuesday at Alexandria.

Middleton finished with 17 points, right on his average. That included a spectacular 3-pointer from three-quarters the length of the floor at the first-half buzzer.

These 2 may meet up again in a few weeks. You never know which Brossart team will play in the postseason.

This is true. Brossart played pretty well last night. They hit a bunch of threes that kept them in the game. They weren't afraid to push the ball up the floor. Got more than their share of loose balls, made a nice percentage of their FTs. The one time they tried to trap (fairly late in the game), the Royals broke the press easily and scored on a layup. Lesson learned quickly; that was it for the trap.

Mason County is just much taller than Brossart. 5'9", 5'9", 6'0", 6'2", and 6'3" (guesses, I did hear some of the starting lineup announcements) vs. 6'2", 6'3", 6'4", 6'6" and 6'6".

Does Brossart play Campbell County in the opening round of the 37th? Where is the 37th being played?

PS - very nice senior night festivities.
