That would be nice, but I can't see making Harlan play the late game and then have that drive on top of it. I may be wrong :idunno: but I think Somerset always plays the last game as host of the RCB.

The long trip is the reason they are playing the late game w/ SW. They are trying to give them time to get here from school that day.

That would make sense. The first game usually starts pretty early so it would be hard to make it, especially for some of the Black Bear fans that have to work. Jumper Dad who are Somerset's other out of district opponents? I think we talked about it but I can't remember who they are.

I've heard Knox Cent, Danville, Pulaski and Estill Co. not sure how good my info is, though.

 

Good to see some hard hitting during the spring game, the boys seemed to really be having fun out there last week.

Have the Jumpers been or are they going to any 7 on 7's? If so how did they look?

Two weeks until the first scrimmage. Any word on how they are looking, I don't get to practice much anymore.

Garrard returns very good skill in the offensive and defensive backfields. They should be pretty solid at linebacker. The offensive and defensive lines had some holes that need to be filled, and those likely are being filled by really young kids. And talk is that they will start a freshman (a good one, though) at quarterback.

 

I think predictions for them could be all across the board.

Not good. The line, particularly their senior tackles have struggled and the new quarterbacks are having a hard time with their reads. They stopped the team offensive period today after 6 plays and ran them the rest of practice. Hopefully they get it together the next couple of weeks.

The Jumpers had a much better day today. Marked improvement on the offensive line and on the reads by the quarterback. Hopefully they will continue to build on this and keep improving.:thumb:
