How good would Scott County be without the transfers? Who would start for them?

Yes, they are, because they did transfer back to Holmes from Cincinnati.

 

Still, their transfers occurred under different circumstances than most of the high-profile ones mentioned earlier.

My point is, that they grew up in the Covington area and despite starting high school in Cincinnati because of circumstances uncontrollable by the family, they were eventually put back in their ORIGINAL school.

 

Their circumstances are MUCH different than the other players being mentioned...especially the Scott Co transfers.

I can't speak for the other teams, but Phil Barner even though he is a valuable asset is not as valuable as some of the other names and Mason Co. would not be as effected as some other teams.

 

Barner is still a starter though so he is obviously more valuable than you're giving him credit for.

In this case, the Johnsons left and came back in the same school year and also the Johnsons came back to the same school. Euton's original school was not Scott County in this case, and he had already logged numerous Varsity minutes (2 years worth!) at Rose Hill before transferring. The Johnsons hadn't even logged one minute yet and came back within the same school year.

Either we steer this back to the original query or I close this one and we try again, and perhaps we can retitle this. Seems we can't discuss a school here without adding Holmes in the equation. So.....please, the original question was: "If Guyn, Euton, Jackson, Flannery and Co. weren't at Scott, just how good would the Cardinals be? Given a typical central Kentucky schedule, would they be .500 or better? Or worse?"
