Cole Abney ended up breaking three records in the weight room, bench press - 430 lbs., power clean - 335 lbs, and total weight in three lifts at 1,315 lbs., his squat was 550 lbs. and his weight was 217 & 6' 2", he has since put on about 5 more pounds and would like to add 10 more. Cole Abney is a beast and he got that way by busting his behind. His brother worked just as hard.

What position does he play?

He will most likely be @ gaurd on offence and @ D-end, but he will play anywhere he is ask.

Coach Larkey built that program up as one of the top 5 programs in Eastern Ky. over the past 10 years. I do not see anything different from Coach Parkey and his staff. Look for the Rock to get back on track next season and give the Bobcats all they want.

The Rock is always tough up front. When they have skill people they are as good as anyone. Don't underestimate Whitley they may be better than last year's 12-2 bunch.

I sure don't think anyone @ Rockcastle is underestimating Whitley Co. or anyone on the Rocket schedule this year. Rockcastle has a pretty rough schedule one or two missteps and the Rockets could be 6 & 4 very easly, I don't think they will be but they must stay focused.

Three Rockcastle players are going to EKU camp tomorrow, Bullens, "Big" Thacker, and Abney. These three will be in the group from Rockcastle going to Hawg Heaven. I think Abney & Thacker are going to UK & WKU next week. I hope the extra work pays off, several of the boys are still hitting the weights hard.

They play Wayne Co. the second game of the year 9/4/09, I think. I don't know much about Wayne Co. but Rockcastle should be good this, that is if everyone stays healthy.

Now thats a strong statement. I have watched Rockcastle since they played in the Rebel bowl for youth football in 2004. He may be good in the open field but scoring every time he gets beyond the line of scrimmage is a tall order.

Wouldn't have to be week 2. They could open play week 0 and be open week 2 and play Wayne Co. week 3. Goning back and looking at last year schedule it will IMO be week 2.
