February 3, 200917 yr Now that thread title attracted more than the usual P & R thread reader. There is a Youtube video on the link. http://www.politico.com/blogs/glennthrush/0209/Judd_vs_Palin.html Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has a new foe -- Ashley Judd. Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, with a hand from the actress, has launched a Web-based campaign targeting Palin over her environmental record. In a video premiering on the organization’s new Web site, EyeOnPalin.org, Judd takes aim at Palin for allegedly promoting the aerial killing of wolves in Alaska, and goes so far as to accuse Palin of proposing bounties for severed forelegs of killed wolves. “It is time to stop Sarah Palin and stop this senseless savagery,” Judd says in the ad. It’s not the first time Defenders of Wildlife Action Fund, a progressive environmental organization, has taken aim at Palin over the aerial killings. During the presidential campaign, Defenders launched a national television ad campaign focused on the topic. In a statement announcing the launch of the anti-Palin campaign, Judd says she is “outraged by Sarah Palin's promotion of this cruel, unscientific and senseless practice which has no place in modern America.” “Because she is apparently determined to continue and expand this horrific program, I am grateful that Defenders will aggressively fight to stop her. I am proud to be a part of that effort,” Judd says.
February 3, 200917 yr I can't decide based on one doctored up video. I doubt that the dog whining heard in the tape was picked up from a flying airplane. Maybe there needs to be control on their numbers ? The only way to know would be to get more facts.

Heard a guy on CNN say it's to help protect the moose and caribou populations as apparently the wolves are hitting them pretty hard. If so, I'm with Sarah!
February 4, 200917 yr It is, and has been, a common method of controling wolf populations in Alaska and Canada for quite some time.

Thats exactly what I figured. Makes sence that they would take advantage of any naive celebrity to spread their word. Maybe Ashley should have them all captured and feed them.

February 4, 200917 yr What about solving the issue with some sort of competition? Maybe wrestling. With mud. Yeah, that'd be the best way!

February 4, 200917 yr No. Care to enlighten me? She's all for it. Couldn't get a link up, but just do a search on "Ashley Judd on abortion. It's there.
February 4, 200917 yr She's all for it. Couldn't get a link up, but just do a search on "Ashley Judd on abortion. It's there. Fine. All we have to do is show her that these are simply "post-partem" wolf abortions. She should be all for them....
