Thanks for making my point for me even though you obviously know way more about Danville basketball than I do after watching them play one game. It wasn't about the 3 days of practice, either. That's just part of it. Like I said, basketball could have been the furthest things from those boys minds out there tonight. I believe I used the word focused in one of my previous posts. It's kind of hard for the whole team to focus. You can say whatever you want, but you aren't here in Danville, so I guess expecting a little perspective is out of the question, but those close to or in Danville understand exactly what I am talking about.

True, but no one in the state was affected like Boyle County was and like I said, I'd be surprised if more than 5 of those boys knew when their power would be turned back on and when they would have a nice warm home to return to. I would say that this is the least focused the Danville team has been this season and for good reason.

NewCath runs some of the best set plays in NKY, and they worked all night against Danville. Again it's not like they played bad. In fact, they made most of their open shots. They just didn't get the kind of looks that NCC got, and their press that I'm sure they rely on against a lot of teams didn't work against a disciplined ballclub like NCC.

Congrats to NCC. Glad to hear Jearmie had a good game, he's had a lot on his plate lately. Speaking of which, does anyone know how Mrs. Conner is doing?

 

I believe that Mrs. Conner is on the road to recovery. She is not quite 100 %, I know she did not attend either game at Richmond.

You have to be kidding... Again let me explain this, I'm not a NewCath fan. I just happened to be at the game to watch some good basketball. What does Shelby Valley have to do with this game. Shelby Valley is a very good ballclub, and was able to stop NewCath from getting a lot of the plays they wanted from what I hear. I'm not bashing Danville. It's just that a power outage didn't have anything to do with the outcome of the game. NewCath was just the better team, and they would probably beat Danville 7 or 8 times out of ten.

I'll do you one better, NCC would beat Danville 10 times out of 10 if it was 70 degrees and sunny. Danville wouldn't have looked so undisciplined and they would have looked better coached had they not had to go through the "power outages" that they suffered from last week. That's the only point I was trying to make. At no time did I ever say Danville would win this game, I was simply saying that I wish they could have played under different circumstances and maybe then you would have seen a better Danville team than the one you never bashed.
