January 30, 200917 yr Can anyone who has stayed there give me any feedback? A couple of my cousins and friends will be coming up to NKU for the Avenged Sevenfold, Buckcherry, Papa Roach, and Saving Abel concert on Feb. 23 and are thinking about getting rooms in the area so we can go to a club somewhere and then go back to the hotel to spend the night before they head back south. I was looking at a couple places to get a good handle on the prices and saw where the TravelLodge in Newport has some pretty reasonable rates. I know that sometimes you get what you pay for so I'm just trying to see what everyone thinks of this place.
January 30, 200917 yr I would try the place across from the Party Source. I forget what it is called. I would not suggest staying at the Travel Lodge. You really do get what you pay for there.

I didn't think it would be a great place but it all depends on how much money everyone will have that night....lol. The hotel would be basically used for a place to sleep after going to the concert and then the club. Where exactly is The Party Source located? I would like for them to pretty much stay some place that I would know how to navigate to and from.
January 30, 200917 yr As you get off the exit it is literally straight ahead of you almost...as you are sitting at the light it's about about 1 o'clock on your right. I believe it's called Comfort Suites. I have stayed there before and it's very nice, but I would expect Travel Lodge to be much cheaper.

Any of the places you would likely go on the Levy. Take a right on that exit and its right there at the light on your left. If cash is your main concern the TL would be the way to go.
January 30, 200917 yr I would try Holiday Inn Express which is past the Party source on the left behind Frisch's. Here is the info. BELLEVUE-NEWPORT ON THE LEVEE Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites 110 LANDMARK DRIVE BELLEVUE, KY 41073 UNITED STATES Hotel Reservations: 1 877 863 4780 Hotel Front Desk: 001-859-9572320
January 30, 200917 yr My bet would be the Travel Lodge being that it is easier to walk to any of the joints on the levee and I am sure it's cheaper.
January 30, 200917 yr Author Yeah it is definitely cheaper than any other place that I've checked on. The rooms that we'd probably get would cost about $50-60 at the TraveLodge while it'd be a little over $100 per room at some of the other places. These are college kids that I'd be hanging out with so the money will probably be tight after what everyone is wanting to do that day. They've never been to the Hofbrauhaus and we'llbe visiting there before we go stand in line. We're getting general admission floor seats so the earlier we get there the better so we can get close to the stage. After the concert, we might be hitting up some clubs. Does anyone know some of the clubs that would be 18+? Some of the people who will be coming are under 21.
January 30, 200917 yr You say these are family and friends? Then don't let them stay at the TaveLodge!
January 30, 200917 yr You say these are family and friends? Then don't let them stay at the TaveLodge! I don't know, I don't think the Travel Lodge is the same Travel lodge of ole. Heck, they are sitting on prime property. It should be a Hyatt. It has to be better than the Travel lodge from the 70's and 80's . I wish I owned that hotel and the property. I would be charging plenty.
January 30, 200917 yr Author You say these are family and friends? Then don't let them stay at the TaveLodge! LOL. Yeah they are family and friends. I would LOVE to say right now that we'd stay at a super nice hotel that night BUT the money would be the deciding factor. I might try to get them to go in for a suite at one of the nicer places cause counting me, there would be six people. I can't let them come up here and not spend time with them after the concert. LOL.
January 30, 200917 yr Aw many you can't squeeze 6 extra in the dorm? Might be better of doing that than Travel Lodge.

January 30, 200917 yr Author Aw many you can't squeeze 6 extra in the dorm? Might be better of doing that than Travel Lodge. I would love to and would be able to if I lived back in the Woodcrest Apartments by myself but I am in the University Suites in a suite that has four bedrooms but the kicker is the other three bedrooms are taken and as anyone who has been in the Suites here at NKU knows, the bedrooms in the 4 room suite are much smaller than a traditional dorm. If this was two years ago, they definitely be staying with me back in Woodcrest....the ladies that are coming up definitely would be.....lol. Besides myself, two of my male cousins are going plus another guy. The other two are my cousin's ex-girlfriend and her friend. It could be a dicey situation but the girls are only coming up because of me....lol.
