Who's the favorite to win the All "A"?

Featured Replies

Throw rankings out the window when a tournament begins. Elliott is tourney tested from the BBC, but they have to play well for four straight games to take this one. I am hoping for an Elliott win, but anything can happen and SV and 2-3 other teams are fully capable of winning this thing.

Have you seen Hazard play since Campbell's departure? They may actually be a better team.
And why is that?

Are the girls' games going on as scheduled today? If not, have they posted the new schedule for the boys?

And why is that?
They have one of the best freshmen in the mnts. starting in his place (B.J. Combs). I think he had 19pts in the championship vs. Jbs.

Micheal is a really good player but not for sure his heart was in it this year.

The dawgs are 7-0 since Combs started.

Bardstown lost Cory Hall who's 3 pt shooting can't be replaced. He was just as valuable as Jordan Hickman. Also Logan Edelen an inside player who I thought started, if he didnt he got alot of minutes. But they will proabley be more atheltic this year. One of the best teams in the 5th region.

Most of these teams have zero chance against Elliott county, and that's a fact. If even Shelby or Hazard can keep the game within single digits I'd be surprised.

Elliott is the favorite but Hazard always put on a show at the All A.

Hazard 2004-won it all, 2005- lost second round to UHA who won it, 2007-lost in semi-fianls, and 2008- lost in the finals. So they know how to win in the All A.

In all of the different polls out there is there a all A team ranked ahead of Elliott. I don't think so! So if you base a prediciton on that Elliott should win it all if they do not based on the polls it would have to then be an upset.
If Shelby Valley or Hazard would happen to beat Elliott, I wouldn't consider it an upset. Both of those teams are good enough to beat them. They do not play in regular season, so who knows until they play who is the better team. So, what your saying is anytime a #2 beats a #1 it's an upset. I don't agree at all. If Elliott had already beat Shelby or Hazard 2 times this year and then lost to them, then you might call it an upset. But, without ever playing, who knows!:thumb:

I think Shelby Valley will give Elliott a good game but I don't think Hazard will have anything for Elliott if they happen to meet in the finals.

Wow that's a pretty bold statement to say most teams have zero chance and that neither SV or Hazard can keep the game within single digits. Didn't EC just struggle against Morgan Co?

Shelvy Valley is the one team EC will have the most trouble matching up with because of the size in their front court. Heck, even Holmes would have trouble matching up with SV. Knipp will have a lot of trouble against the 6'10 kid from Valley and Ferguson will have trouble against 6'6 Hatfield.

I think you may be underestimating a few of these teams. Elliott Co is a good team but isn't that far ahead of either Hazard or Shelby Valley.

IMO, Shelby Valley wins the ALL "A" this year. If not, I'll be glad to eat crow, but give the other teams a little more credit.

I have been saying for 3 years that EC will never live up to the expectations their fans set for them. I hope the Elliot/Valley game happens it should be very entertaining and a good test for both teams. In the past Valley have had good teams that have under performed on the big stage. I think this team has different mind set that starts with PG Justice.

I really hope for a SV and EC game. I have no clue who would win. I don't make predictions for games in which I have not seen each team in action. Since I have not seen SV since the EC game two years ago, I wouldn't have a guess who wins. All things held constant, I would pick EC again.

I'd have to agree with you.

I remember Shelby Valley really taking it to Holmes two years ago in the 5/3rd at Lexcath.

I think this year's team might be just as good, if not better with Justice running the show.

It will be a good game, but I don't think EC has seen the size and strength that SV has.

Time will tell. :thumb:

Shelby Valley ... or Shelby County?

There is quite a difference there.

It was Shelby County. My bad.
