dryz93
Well anyone who has been watching Scott County would know that while Dakotah may not be the best player on the team he is the best shooter unless Austin Flannery can ever get his confidence up high enough to ever be able to shoot during a game. So this isnt a big suprise, it was fun to see Dakotah have a good game though tonight.
DerekSC
It's fun to see this team play when Dakota's shot is on. It really spreads things out and opens things up for the rest of his teammates. Pretty spread out stats though. Euton had 35 pts. 5 reb. 2 ast. and 2 steals. Richie Phares had 10 pts. and 5 reb., Guyn had 12 pts. 3 reb. 2 ast., Jackson had 10 pts. 6 reb. 5 steals, and Freshman Tamron Manning had 4 pts. 5 ast. and 3 rebs. For Adair Co. Ballou had 16 pts. 11 rebs. and 7 blocks, Fudge had 13 pts., 5 ast. and 4 rebs., but had 7 T.O.'s.
Ram
Scott County reminds me of the Pittsburgh Steelers, everyone knows they are there, then when the Super Bowl comes everyone is amazed that they are in it. I think a lot of people are going to eat their words about Scott County and Dakota Euton, very soon. Many people were hard on Euton and Scott County in the early season, but it just took them some time to learn to play with the amount of talent that that team has. If they figure it out before the Sweet 16, it will be scary. If not, next year it will be very scary.

IMO their best chance at winning a state title is this year with Phares. I don't think some realize how important he is to that team this year. No doubt they'll be scary good next year, but so will a few other teams who also return a lot of talent like Holmes, Warren Central, Tates Creek, Ballard, and GRC to name a few. It's nice to see Euton have a good game but honestly Adair Co. really isn't that great of a team.
TheSecondComing
Does anyone have all of Euton stats? Threes made/attempted, FG made/attempted, etc.
5thIndian
I saw somewhere that Euton was 6-8 3pt, 7-9 2pts, he shot the ball great and I dont remember him missing 4 shots. Adair Co just didnt have anybody tall enough to guard him at 6'8 and shooting mostly from the outside, 6'3 is our tallest after Ballou 6'7 and he had to stay on the inside with Phares, who he did a good job defending. Turnovers and Euton's shooting kept the game from being competive. Adair did some good things though, rebound good against this bigger team and was alittle suprized that Darren got that many blocks on Scott Co, but Ballou is a top 10-15 player in the state. MARK COFFEY
It was said that Adair was not that great of a team. That was also said in 2007 and if memory serves me correctly they went to the Sweet Sixteen that year and did quite well. How many blocks did Ballou have on Euton and Phares and the rest of the team?
