George Rogers Clark vs Scott 1/24

Recommended Posts

GRC has been travelling alot this week. I've got to believe that fatigue has to be setting in.

That could very well be a factor. Both Scott and GRC will have played 3 games already this week since Monday, but GRC has been making the hour/ hour and a half trip up to NKY time and time again.

Everybody needs to remember though that the first game they played, the game was about a 3 point margin going into the final minute when Scott had to start fouling to have a chance to win the game and the lead was then pushed out to 10+. So these two teams are more evenly matched than thought. With the injuries to GRC and this game being at Scott (the first one was at GRC), I will take the Eagles by 8.

One thing you are forgetting is that Hatton did not play in that game.

From Jan 3-24 ( 22 days) we will have played 10 games. We have played the last 4 Saturday's Our boys are wore out, sick and hurt. I can't see how Scott is not favored in this game.

Ill take Scott with the upset...Although it doesn't matter much to Clark right now. Once they get everybody back they will be hard to beat. I think they have a top 5 team in the state when everybody is healthy....oh yeah and they are still young!!!

Top 5? No, GRC when fully healthy is not a Top 5 team in state. They are too young and there are many other more experience and just as talented (if not more talented) as they are. Scott County, Holmes, Elliot County, Eastern, Jeffersontown, Bryan Station, and I'd also say Mason County (there is about a 50/50 split with Mason with this issue). I could possibly see GRC being a top 5 team next year, as long as they keep progressing and possibly the year after (because of this strong sophomore class of theirs). But that will also depend on the development of other teams, etc. Again, I'm sorry to that GRC just isn't a Top 5 team when fully healthy but they are indeed probably a Top 20, maybe a Top 15 team when healthy. They could probably even play on par with some of the Top 10 teams.

When completely healthy(haven't been one game this year, don't forget about Pervis injury) they would be legit top 10 and maybe higher. It's too bad we probably won't get to find that out this year. With the team they still have, they are more than dangerous.

I agee, we have not had one game this year where everyone is 100% or healthy. Would have been very exciting to see just how far this team could have gone this year.

Robbie Stenzel is going to the game...if he plays is still ha big ? mark.

Our radio crew is not going to the game. If anyone up in the NKY area could give updates....I would REALLY appreciate it. :thumb:

When completely healthy (Rogers, Purvis, Hatton, Stenzel, Williams) GRC is a legit top 10 team, POSSIBLY top 5, but their youth is the only thing that would keep them out of the top 5. Talent wise, this team will be able to compete with ANYBODY over the next 3 years. It wouldn't surprise me at all if this sophomore class won a state title as seniors. As Juniors, I just don't see it happening because of how loaded Scott Co and Holmes will be again next year.
