January 21, 200917 yr There is indeed a positive...U of L has never had their coaches so much in demand....Coach Petrino was hands down the best coach ever here in Louisville, but with that he did everything...he had his hand reign down on every phase. There's nothing wrong with that. Coach Kragthorpe has started to surround himself with legit coaching talent, and now it's being cherry picked.....interesting at worst. Is is that or is it that these guys want to jump ship and are marketing themselves causing the high turnover?

January 23, 200917 yr ^ I think Bobby Petrino is a top 5 coach....I don't think Howard was that ever here. I appreciate his contribution, and U of L football wouldn't be where it is now, if it weren't for him......It also wouldn't if it weren't for Cooper of Smith either, for that matter.

Oh, let see now, :idunno:, what a decision and how could you ever make up your mind? :lol: Unbelievable, if a person is a coach and looking to advance I believe being a coach at ND would look better on a resume than at U.L.. Notre Dame being down for quite a while or not, they are still Notre Dame and carry alot of respect in the college football world.

If you would take the time to read down a little more, you wouldn've noticed I said that Notre Dame was a better job than UofL. The only thing that bothered me about his decision to leave was that it is happening way to frequently at UofL. As a fan of UofL, that's troubling. It's one thing to lose coaches to other schools when you are winning... I do think Notre Dame fans are delusional, I mean they've won one bowl game in the last 14 years. The are 1-16 (I think) against the last 17 ranked opponents. They are annually ranked in the top 10 in recruiting (that's why ranking high school kids is a joke). Like Colin Cowherd says: "Notre Dame, the Bermuda Triangle of football recruiting."

Your question wasn't for me but I would say to compare Petrino to Schnellenberger would be a huge embarrassment and spitting in the face of Howard Schnellenberger. Howard Schnellenberger is imo a well respected coach and has built the program/programs everywhere he has been. Petrino on the other hand has lost the respect of practically everyone involved with college and pro football. Petrino is about Petrino, could care less about the school he is employed by at the time. Unblievable to me that anyone could still defend him. Petrino is a Class A slimeball and jerk and to my knowledge has crapped on (or tried to) every employer/job he has had. JMO of course and I aplogize for jumping in on your question.

January 23, 200917 yr I like Cowherd..... Has UofL started to replace all of these recent defections? Signing day is right around the corner and it would seem risky to ask kids to sign their LOI without knowing who the heck their coaches are!
