January 17, 200917 yr Any team a team is that successful their coordinators are going to be shopped. Same happened to the Pats. Would appear to be a great hiring for STL.
January 17, 200917 yr What a great hire for the Rams. He is a great man who can get that team turned around. Obviously he's a great defensive mind, I am interested to see who he gets for offense. He has been with the Giants and the Eagles recently so I wonder if he takes any one from there. Congrats to Steve.:thumb:
January 17, 200917 yr The Giants already lost a defensive line assistant to Miami and now Spags to the Rams. I wish him the best. I think he is a great defensive coordinator and I think he will be a great head coach. I hope the Giants promote from within, or get someone with a similar style of attacking defense.
January 17, 200917 yr I thought the Jets would take him. They said he was a bad interview but his body of work speaks for itself IMO. Huge loss for the Giants. Should be interesting to see what a defensive minded guy does in St Louis who has a lot of work to do IMO. I know Hasslett is a D guy but he was just filling in.

I wouldn't call it a "huge" loss just yet. I think the Giants have a great coaching staff from top to bottom and I hope the promote from within. If not, I hope they land a great d-coordinator who doesn't miss a beat. They still have the players to get it done next year.
January 18, 200917 yr He is a great defensive mind. He and Monte Kiffen are 2 or the best in the business.
January 18, 200917 yr I have heard they might be interested in Dom Capers... If they promote from within some names to look for are Bill Sheridan, Peter Guinta or Mike Waufle.
January 19, 200917 yr IMO opinion thise guys are not ready for DC. If anyone it would be Peter but not quite sure yet. I have followed these guys for a while and love the Giants. I hope they get someone to continue there dominence. They have great players they just need the right guy to put them in the right position.
January 19, 200917 yr I think Sheridan is more than ready to take over. Guinta used to be the DC for St.Louis I think during their super bowl year. Waufle is a great d-line coach, not sure if he would be a good DC or not. Personally I hope Sheridan gets the job. I've heard good things about him, and I've heard Spagnuolo wants him to come be his DC in St.Louis.
January 19, 200917 yr Trust me I love Bill but he doesn't have the personality to be a DC. He is a great guy though. I would love to see him get the job. Peter is my choice for the job. I would bet Steve takes a couple guys with him.
January 19, 200917 yr I'm not sure about his personality, I don't know him enough to judge him on that.
