January 14, 200917 yr Attempting to determine whether the law has been broken or not is a witch hunt?
January 14, 200917 yr Why not? There's nothing pressing Congress needs to be working on, is there? I imagine this happens any time there is a change in administrations where congress is held by the opposing party. I seem to recall early investigations by the Republicans into Clinton's dealings. It's a nice way to make the opposition squirm.
January 14, 200917 yr Attempting to determine whether the law has been broken or not is a witch hunt? In actuality, yes. They are politically motivated witch hunts. Thats why you never see a party investigating their own president. They could care less if the law was broken.

January 14, 200917 yr Author I suppose that depends on your definition of a witch hunt. This would fit mine.
January 14, 200917 yr Bingo! Just let W go gently into the good night. Why? There's been absolutely nothing "gentle" about his time in office. This is a guy who accuses people who disagree with him as "unpatriotic," and used bullying of his enemies/opponents to get his way. Why should he be treated with kid gloves now?

This is a guy who accuses people who disagree with him as "unpatriotic," and used bullying of his enemies/opponents to get his way. Why should he be treated with kid gloves now? Doesn't mean he did anything illegal. And I'll go on record now and say this witch hunt will end in nothing but millions of taxpayers dollars wasted just like the Clinton impeachment ordeal. Pigs like Conyers have hated W since day 1, and he can't help but stir the pot on this issue.

You and i both know that it will be done strictly for show.
January 14, 200917 yr Uh... are we in ancient Rome? We need to wait until a guy leaves his office to inquire into his actions? I don't see a benefit to this.
January 14, 200917 yr Bingo! Just let W go gently into the good night. Even if he broke the law? Did you feel the same about Clinton?
