He wasn't a contributor to a very good Camel JV team last year. The Camels will be just fine without him.

Thats because he got into a little trouble. I have been watching Nick Shay play baseball for 10 years now and he is without a doubt the best hitter and top talent in the Campbell County area. People that bad mouth him are jealous of his talent period!!!!!!

Shay's father is coaching the Big Trains this year, but Nick hasn't been released and as of now is not playing baseball this year . . he would've been a huge help at shortstop for the Camels.

Nick would have been a huge help last year at short which would have enabled Andy Franzen to play 2nd. This could have been a very good double play combo.

Unfortunately, you said it right. He got into trouble and not the first time for Nick. Hopefully he has learned his lesson, maybe the third time will be the charm.

Unfortunate that talent without discipline, desire, and determination is wasted, and is talent lost.

Really hope Shay does learn and will mature, he could've an absolute outstanding player. Major help at short and catch for Camels. But they will survive without him.

That is a pretty bold statement.....jealous of his talent? Hopefully he is that good and gets back on the field. Staying out of trouble is key.

What will the middle infield look like this year?

Any Camels fans that were at the scrimmage game against Ryle today (9 inning game won 6-2 by Campbell) - what was the name of the second pitcher for the Camels today? He pitched innings 3 and 4. Lanky kid that throws 3/4 sidearm and has an absolutely wicked curveball. It seriously has to be one of the best curves I've seen thrown at the high school level. He adds a little more velocity to his fastball and that kid could really be something special. Just curious who he was.

Zach Sellers should have a very good year if they use him properly and use him often. He has about 4 pitches that he controls very well.

Fast ball between 75-80 but his off speed stuff is absolutely amazing when he is on. If he pitches alot of innings he will be very effective. Good reliever and spot starter.
