  1. GRC players and fans alike made a great showing today. Very exciting game; shame someone had to lose this one. Your third baseman (name ?) also made some very nice plays timing jumps to take away a couple of hits. Bell pitched well. CC players were impressed with him. Congratulations on a fine season. A very classy team. :thumb:
  2. Actually he did take out the catcher's leg, along with the rest of his body. Quite a collision! Bell did not slide. CC's catcher has a nice knot on his leg right now, but he'll be ready for Thursday. :thumb:
  3. Estes walked two and hit two in one inning.
  4. Franzen's first time on mound in a while, and Estes struggled with control.
  5. Broering or Rief would be my guess.
  6. Estes struggled with control a bit today, but probably is their ace. Broering, a Jr., is pitching as well as anyone on the team right now. Sellers didn't have his best stuff today, but has been very good at keeping hitters off balance pitching mostly in relief. Rief, who did not pitch today, has also been very strong on the mound for the Camels, and has one perfect game this year. And today's starter (Franzen) was very good early this season, but has not seen the mound due to injury for at least a month. There's a few more (Carrier, Albrecht) who have also done a good job this season.
  7. Franzen started for the Camels and went 3 innings. Then Estes pitched 2 innings plus one batter. Then Sellers threw 5 2/3 and Broering completed the game throwing 2 1/3. Rief is another starter who was used as a PH.
  8. He's at Silver Grove.
  9. Though Coffman does indeed throw hard, look for him to be behind the plate, not on the mound for the Camels. Estes should be the ace, with Franzen the #3 starter. Looking for Junior lefty Adam Broering to step up and become the #2 starter, though there should be some competition from other JV pitchers from last year for that spot. JMO
  10. 6-0 Camels in the third inning
  11. Games cancelled for tonight. Camel's are on their way back home. Play resumes tomorrow; not sure on the times.
