Cards were down by 16 in the first half. They came out and scored 27 points in the 3rd quarter after only scoring 21 points in the first half. We shot 7-35 in the first half....

I wouldn't call it a "great road win" considering Shelby County had a losing record coming into the game but a win is a win I guess. Congrats.

Thats what I thought but was not for sure I thought this was a down year for Shelby.

This could be the kind of game Zollo and the Cards need to begin a long run towards Rupp. Congrats on the win.

Any time you shoot 7-35 in the first half and are down by 16 on the road and you come back and win...it is a great road win.:thumb:

 

Also Shelby Co lost to Anderson Co by 4. Anderson lost to Elliott Co in OT tonight. They lost to Seneca by 1 who gave Holmes all they wanted They also lost to ranked teams Trintiy and Eastern.

With 1:05 to go Stenzel goes to the line and hits 3 FT to tie the game. Shelby Co holds the ball till 12.7 seconds to go and then walks with the ball. We bring the ball down the floor and they knock it out of bounds under our basket with 2.4 seconds to go. Inbound to Zollo and he lays it in at the buzzer.

How do you give up a layup to UK signee on a out of bounds play, to me that would be the first thing I would guard against. Anyway congrats to Coach Humphrey and the Cards!

Just got in from the game! The cards were playing like they were scared the first half, they were shooting jumpshots every trip down the court and didn't attack the basket much at all untill around halfway through the 2nd quarter. The only thing that really kept the cards in the game was the play of Hatton, any time we needed a big shot or big play Hatton was there! Shelby matched up well against GRC having a beefy kid on Rogers and a kid almost as tall as Zollo guarding Zollo. Didn't think Shelby played great GRC just didn't play well at all.
