Baseballguy
Holmes 37th, Scott Co. 67th and J-Town 86th. Not bad, not bad at all. Congrats to all three Schools.

Wireman
The ESPN rankings seem to be a little more "in tune": http://sports.espn.go.com/highschool/rise/basketball/boys/news/story?id=3813099

We know there's really no way of knowing the true top 50/100. There is no national HS BB Tournament and we don't get to see all the Teams play. These are just fun to look at, and the Schools should be proud to be on any list like these. Everyone of these Teams number 1 goal is to win their State tournament and thats what matters most. But none of us can sit here and say that Holmes is better than MLK out of Riverside CA, or vise-versa just because thats what someone says. Again, it's a very nice thing for the Schools to look at, and a reward for working hard. Yeah, I'm sure ther is a few Teams like Oak Hill who are heads and shoulders above, but I'd say after the top 5 or 10 it's a crap shoot.

Eta Rho
I kinda figured Holmes would crack the top 40 or 50 by this point. Looking at their schedule, they SHOULD head in to their game with Largo, MD at 16-1. If they win that game and run the table in the regular season, don't be surprised to see them in the top 20/25 by the end of the year. A lot of national rankings are just for fun though. As BBG said earlier, after the top 5-10 it's really a crapshoot.

Again, rankings are just for fun, but it will be nice to see the KIDS get national exposure. If they win out the rest of the regular season and take care of business in the district and region tournaments, they'll likely be in the top 15 heading in to the state tourney with a record of 33-1. Holmes has a chance to break a lot of school records this year. This is a very special group and quite honestly could be the best team to ever come through Holmes, which says a lot considering the teams they've had.
