2. LC is very well coached, a really good team on defense

3. If Corbin can get out of the 13th, and get a good draw for the sweet 16,

could be playing on Sat. morning in Rupp

4. #32 for LC is a really good player, who didn't get enough shots for them

5. Looked like a good called game

6. Sanford has alot of tools, but could play more intense, seems to laid back to

me.

7. Madison Johnson is developing into a big time talent, sometimes streaky but

plays through it until something good happens, his dunk was nice!

 

Your point #5. I was sitting right beside the father of one of Lexington Catholic's players. He didn't have any complaints at all about the officiating. He did say that Corbin out hustled his team.

This was a great game to watch. Sanford was a tough match up for Corbin but over than that they matched up well. Madison Johnson was the second best player on the floor. He appears to be stronger and more athletic this year. Josh Crawford helping against the press was instrumental in this win. His combination of size strength and skill is very seldom seen in high school. He also is very unselfish and wins are more important to him than numbers.Smith and Manns did their normal dirty work. They both must wear hard hats to the game.

Any updates on schools looking at Crawford? He might be a steal for some schools. I have seen the Coach at Centre at several games, Coach Lane from Transy and here of late Coaches from Univ. Of the Cumberlands. Union College has also been at several games this season. It would not surprise me to see his stock soar as the season progresses. Might make someone a good small forward or two guard with some improvements in shooting and more ball handling experience.

Hasn't made a decision yet, but I think he is leaning towards Centre. Josh is a great student and I think the academics there are very attractive to him.

I think some bigger basketball offers might arise, but no academic offers would be any better than Centre. He could be a nice player for the Centre team also. Centre is a very expensive school, they must really want him to come up with that kind of scholarship money. Good luck to Josh in whatever he decides. He is a fine young man.

You're right some bigger offers may come along. Especially if he finishes strong. A trip to Rupp wouldn't hurt either.

 

As far as the scholarship money. Schools like Centre, Transy, and Georgetown have endowments and donors that would make Barack Obama blush. If they really want him - scholarship money will be there.

Where was the game played?

Good win for Corbin. I was really impressed with the play of Josh Smith. He hustled his behind off on defense and made some big shots when needed.

Coach P and his staff has the Hounds headed in the right direction. Another big test Tuesday on the road at Bell - where the region will be held. I know Corbin beat the Bobcats just a week ago pretty bad, but, Bell will get better as the season progresses. I expect Cornin to win big, but experiences like these will just make the Hounds better down the road.

Great win for Corbin. With Josh Crawford healthy this season Corbin is a very good team. Not a surprise that the Hounds handle the 2-2-1 press as these two programs are very familiar with one another.

Josh Crawford is finally healthy this year. If he were in college he probably would have been redshirted last year. He has regained the spring in his step. He is a good student with a very good ACT score. He is a great kid with a nice game. This sounds like somebody a school should invest some money in.
