January 3, 200917 yr GT, hope you had a great time at the game. While the end result could have been better my hat is off to VPI for making big plays when it counted. I see a bunch of similarities between where they started their climb and where UC is right now. Very exciting time to be a UC fan. I was at a bar on NYE that hosted a UC party. There were more people there than attended the 4 bowl games combined before BK got here. Discredit this game all you want, but there was a ton of next level talent on the field. Macho Harris is big time, and guys like Barwin, Mickens, Huber, Evans and several others will make a lot of cash playing on Sundays. UC will be in a tough spot next year, but the talent is there. Much like VPI 12 months ago...
January 3, 200917 yr Good for you... Not really. It wasn't like I had a whole lot of sports choices on TV.

To me, regardless of the loss, this is a win/win for recruiting and their program. Many potentials, will now consider the Bearcats for their style of play and opportunity, to compete in a BCS Bowl. I've also got their Conditioning and Strength programs, which are extremely impressive. The framework is in place, for being a Top 25 program each year.

January 3, 200917 yr I take it you know Longo???Just communicated with Paul via emails. Their entire Staff and Paul, has been very helpful in providing conditioning information and programs.

Paul and his top assistant Jake are fantastic. I do several off season features on how he runs things and I walk away floored every time. Can't wait to cover the pro and junior days over the next few months. Here's how I know Longo is great at what he does. When the pro scouts show up, he's at worst the second guy they talk to. Usually the first, but a few want to talk to BK first...

Do you think Kelly, stays here for a while or looks to move on?

Do you think Kelly, stays here for a while or looks to move on? I think BK wants to win. If he knows his best chance to get there is at UC he will stay for a long time. There are MAJOR players in funding that are looking to pull money from the Bengals and spend it on UC. Still a work in progress, and a win last night would have been nice. As it is the indoor/outdoor practice fields and Nippert expansion are in their hands when all is said and done...

January 3, 200917 yr ....:thumb: I've heard some things over the past month that lead me to believe this program is turning the corner. While most of it has no direct impact with the product on the field now, it could go a long way down the road. As long as he's at UC there will be talks about BK moving on. With the help of Cincinnati Bell, P&G and a few others keeping him won't be nearly as hard...

Some like his style and others loathe him, but give Kelly credit for taking the program, up another notch.
