Parker Laboiteaux. (Luh-boyt-oh) If I'm not mistaken that was their PG the year they had Travis Rasso, Sean Herron, David McFarland, and Schloemer. 2004 team that lost to Covcath in the region title game.

You guys are funny...LaBoiteaux (me) didn't play point guard, I was more of a shooting guard/small forward. Herron and McFarland both ran point for us. Joel Fox (junior) ran some point as well.

 

And you all are right, we started four seniors, McFarland was only a junior that year who started. I would also add that Chase Floyd (Sr.) started quite a few games as well this year. But we did start four seniors with another three coming off the bench and an additional junior. We definitely did have depth.

 

One last thing, we beat Highlands in the first round of the region that year, and then squared off against Dixie in the semi's, and then lost to Cov Cath in the finals while missing both Rasso and Schloemer.

 

I like to see Boone do well, but don't want to give up the record lol.

What was the reason to why Schloemer and Rasso were out????

I remember the days the girls basketball team was dominant and the boys basketball was garbage.

Rasso broke his ankle against Dixie in the semi's. Turned out he had been playing with a fractured wrist too lol.

 

And I not 100% sure what Schloemer did, but I know it involved his back. He tried to play in the finals against Cov Cath, but only played like two minutes because I guess the pain was to much.

Well in 2002 the boys had also set the record for the worst record in school history at 3-21. Which is why it was kind of a big deal to turn that around in two years and go 26-4 in 2004.

Haha...well your earlier post certainly makes sense. But, you would also remember that many of Boone's better players were in the crowd because they didn't seem to get along with the coach at the time. Not necessarily saying I agree with their decision to sideline themselves, but it did happen.

Yeah, there was a decent crew...only two seniors stayed. Kevin Montgomery and Matt Osborne.
