LA Lakers 92 Boston 83

I don't remember 2 times just the one on the fast break. I think Allen did such a horrible job trying to sell it that it didn't matter if Odom fouled him or not. Once he was on the ground Kobe got in on the ball as well.

I know Kobe got on the ball at the end, but they can't call a jump ball with anyone but Odom, unless they're saying it occurred once he was on the ground. If that's the case, then it's either a walk or a foul on Odom before the jump ball.

There were 2 plays with Ariza, but I can't remember the context of the other one, but he was definitely out of bounds. I think Sasha hit a 3 on the play too.

^ Well take all 3 away and they still win. :p

Yeah, if that was the only time Boston got hosed. I'm not saying they cost the Celts the game or anything, not even a Boston fan, but you couldn't have watched that game and not thought about how the refs were on LA's side.

No I didn't really think that at all. I thought there were a few bad calls but it evened out.

Where are all the Paul Pierce fans? Goose egg in the 4th quarter.

I'm a Paul Pierce fan... And I won't run into hiding just because my favorite team just lost their third game in the last 30. :D

You gotta be kidding. That was a horrendous flop. If you watch it again I am sure you would agree.

Agreed. And so did all of the announcers. Allen goes down like he was shot, it was awful.

I too agree it was a flop... I thought it was a hard foul at first and jumped off the couch yelling... But when they replayed it, it was certainly a flop and I sat down and shut up.

Boston had there chances in this game.

I really think it will be LA vs Boston in the Finals.

Yes, and Boston wins it.

Great game to watch. Now the Celtics have all that pressure from that streak.

Does Boston have the bench to win it all this year? It was clear that the starting five of Boston was a little better than LA, but they aren't nearly as deep. The loss of Posey will be huge come playoff time.

The Cavs are good enough to beat Boston to get to the finals. And, they're good enough to beat anyone from the west if they get there. Doesn't mean they will, but they're capable.

The Lakers bench is a very good unit. They may not be great as individual players, but they all buy into and understand their roles very well and that makes them a very good group. They seem to take a lot of pride in themselves as a group and it shows in their play.

I think we'll see the Lakers and Cavs in the NBA Finals.

I didn't see any problem with the officials in that game. Allen clearly flopped on the jump ball call. There are always missed calls in basketball games...I didn't see where it benefitted one team more than the other.

I think Boston has to be the favorite to win it all again this year. Anybody can beat them for 1 game, but those guys are going to play a lot of minutes in the playoffs and I just don't think you can beat them 4 times.

Not having Posey will hurt. I've never been a big fan of Leon Powe and I'm not sure Glen Davis is a real asset off the bench. They were talking about signing Dikembe Mutombo, which would help. And how long is Sam Cassell out?

I do think they are the favorite until someone knocks them off, but the Vegas "experts" have LA as the favorite, even before they beat Boston on Christmas.

Boston's bench has to be a real concern for them. They lack a 3/4 wing type player with range and defense.
