LA Lakers 92 Boston 83

Featured Replies

This game proved my theory that the NBA is the most unbiased officiated sport is wrong. The Celtics got hosed at least 4-5 times today.

With that said the Lakers still impress me. Walton sucks, Sasha is slightly beter than average, and Fisher is, well Derek Fisher, and yet they still manage to do what is necessary to win. I put that on Kobe, which is why I think he's starting to close in on Jordan for supreme greatness status....

Well, that stinks.

Hopefully they start another big streak now!

Losing Farmar for 8 weeks will hurt this team a lot more than people think.

Agreed, but it just amazes me how Kobe has this team playing right now. Simply unreal IMO.

Everyone says how good the supporting cast is but when you look at them as individual players they aren't that great except Gasol. Bynum still has a long way to go. Ariza still can't shoot. Walton is just not very good at times and Sasha is a gun and just fires away, sometimes good sometimes bad. Odom is a great guy to have off the bench.

Odom is an awesome guy, but come on, we both know his prime has come and gone. Everything else you said is spot on though IMO. I like Pau, and he carried them down the stretch tonight IMO, but until Bynum steps his game up to where we both know it can be I don't see them winning it this year. I just think the Celtics are too much.

Kobe assisted on all of those 3 baskets Pau had down the stretch. The Celtics doubled him every time and made him make a play for someone else. The old Kobe probably wouldn't have done that. Bynum had major knee surgery not long ago and I expect him to be ready come playoff time. He still isn't in game shape where he should be. If you see that in Kobe then it must be true, you have come a long way on him. :D

Where are all the Paul Pierce fans? Goose egg in the 4th quarter.

Odom needs to go.

Trade him and pick up more bench production.

Hey now, I started to come around last year. I used to let my dislike for Kobe "the supposed rapist" cloud my judgement of Kobe the player. After I realized the rape charge was most likely bogus and just concentrated on his actual game, I realized I had been missing an amazing player that we may never see again. Why not just sit back and enjoy?

BTW, I still hate the Lakers, just not Kobe...

When did the Celtics get calls against them? I did not notice that at all.

The first time that comes to mind is when Allen (Tony) was thrown to the ground by Odom and they called a jump ball between him and Kobe?????

You gotta be kidding. That was a horrendous flop. If you watch it again I am sure you would agree.

I watched it 3 times, and every time Odom's arm knocked Allen to the ground....If you're going to call the jump ball at least get the 2 guys right....

Also, how about Ariza on the baseline? There were 2 plays that were in question today, one he was in bounds, the other no way.

I don't remember 2 times just the one on the fast break. I think Allen did such a horrible job trying to sell it that it didn't matter if Odom fouled him or not. Once he was on the ground Kobe got in on the ball as well.
