Scott 48 South Laurel 46

I heard Wright shook hands well after the game doing his radio show but was doing a lot of belly-aching on the post game.

Show some class.

I don't think I would call it belly-aching. He took the blame for not having his team ready to play. I think his interview was enlightening, from a South Laurel standpoint. This is on the Home radio station for South Laurel. While he could have given Scott credit, why should he if he thinks his team didn't give enough effort to win? He didn't blame referees or anything other than himself or his players ("walking dead").

You can hear the interview here. Advance the media player to the 1:59:10 mark, which is where the interview starts.

At the end, he even put Christmas in perspective for us.

Congrats too Scott High. I remember watching them against Moeller after Mason Co played and they didnt look very well at all. They were very sloopy and didnt shoot to well. Even sitting with a former Scott High player he agreed and said he'd never seen them look as bad. But congrats on a hard fought win and way to make the 10th region look good!

I did not hear much belly aching on the interview. Coach Wright even sounds a bit like Former President Bill Clinton in his words choice and tone of voice.

Big win. After watching South at South and their size. Scott must be tough. Big win.

That right there just gave me even more respect for Steve Wright. That was really nice to hear. I thought him taking the blame for the loss was standup as well.

Mentioning that Watkins' turnover didnt cost them the game, the other 16 could have was solid.

I really like this guy.
