Sounds like a solid win for CCH. Good to hear Shover was back out there.

With a box & 1, the Camels still could not get the ball inside? That's pretty bad. Albrecht is capable of carrying this team, how did CCH keep him from getting the ball?

It was a triangle and 2, not a box and 1. They trailed Albrect as well as Nerl

Looks like CC took a big step back. From the sounds of it guard play was an issue with all the turnovers. This was one of the Camels concerns coming into the season.

Guard play was not the problem, Smith played a good game.

I think they are going to be challenged. This should have been a game where the point took over the game. If Nerl and Albrecht were trailed the entire game, a PG would have had a field day. From what I saw of the Brossart game, the weakness that CCHS has at this time as at the point. They are not great ball handlers, and the pressure that Brossart put on was not that strong. Trhey also need to get points, especially on a night like tonight when the top two players were taken out of the game.

I'm not knocking CCHS, it's a part of the game that they need to improve on if they want to go very far this year. If they don't find a solution to the PG, they will not beat Scott, and I dare say they will not beat Brossart a 2nd time.

Campbell County was not impressive. CCH flat out beat them.

I'm very surprised that Campbell County outrebounded CCH in this game according to a stat earlier in this thread. I was at the game, and it looked like CCH was doing very well on the boards.

When Listerman only pays his top 8 or so, the outcome is usually a lot better. Against Ryle, he used about eight and kept it a good game. Tonight he did the same and the outcome was much better. Hope he stays with it. Also nice to see Shover back, although it is easy to tell he isn't himself. Def. needs more time, but he'll get there. :).

CCH needs to work on getting the ball inside more, but their shot selection was better tonight, although still throwing up too many brick three's.

Thank goodness they won ;)

Guard play was not the issue for tonights game, the pg had only 2 turnovers. Poor shooting and the turnovers was the reason for tonights loss.. Look to see the Ccamels bounce back from this bad loss. Still a top team imo in nky..

Honestly, that is not a top team in NKY.

Smith played his role tonight, even after being sick the night before, the camels were not used to the triangle and 1, and commited some bad turnovers, just did not seem like a good shooting night for CCHS.

Very surprised by this outcome. I thought Campbell would of walked all over CCH with them missing Shover and Pauly.

Shover played, though minimally. And Pauly did play.

How many minutes (approximately) did Thelen and Heimbrock get?

Thelen is not playing JV anymore, and Heimbrock is a man on JV. Personally, I think Cole needs to get more minutes. Such a solid player, and the fact that he limits the turnovers can be big for this team.

I do not believe Cole played.

Thelen got some time. Maybe a couple of minutes. He had a nice pass inside to Maile. Needs to work on being more aggressive and his rebounding and layups. Entirely too soft. I was surprised to see him not playing JV at all. But I think putting him in with another big guy is a great idea and hope to see it more. Jake will do fine.

Listerman stuck more to about eight players tonight. He went with his five [ives, Maile, Pauly, Wellbrock, Isler] and then Shover, Counts, Thelen rotated in, and Maschinot and Wilson got about a minute time. I think that was it. And it worked pretty well for him.

I believe it was not a good shooting night because of the D that CCH played. Smith is a good kid, just out of his role in this game. He needed to step up and be a scorer and driver when it was obvious that Nerl and Albrect were being taken out of the game. It's just experience that the Camels lack at PG.

I agree, you would have thought that the Camels could have taken advantage of the lack of CCH depth. Good thing CCH was not healthy, this could have been a very ugly night for the Camels
