Both teams have to win their next game. Holmes has Tates Creek; Station has Collins, Ill. (Who isn't very good)

I just talked to someone who was at the frist BS/Holmes game, and they told me Holmes was up 13 in the frist half of that game. Also said Holmes was up going into the 4th and that BS gaurds caught fire. He said if they played again he see Holmes winning by ten. But then again my source is a Bulldog homer. Tell me what you think.

Good win for Holmes.

2-0 vs top 10 teams in the past week. :sssh:

Very impressive.:thumb::thumb:

Im sure its a big section. I hear there is a never ending supply of Rice's in CVG or atleast relatives of the Rice's.

:thumb: I get it now.

Just a little fun directed at Eta Rho (Whom I respect tremendously from his posts and knowledge of HS BBall:thumb:)

I think BS pulled the biggest surprise of the year in most peoples mind in their win over Holmes. Not sayint that BS is not a top five team, but if they get the rematch with Holmes and win, then there is no doubt they are deserving of a #1 ranking

I agree.

Riley finished with 6 points tonight. Just found out he has a dislocated finger though.

Morones and Ashford catching fire is what kept Bryan Station close enough in the second half to make their run in the fourth quarter and take the lead. The two big men were non factors for BS in the first meeting. Stop Morones and Ashford and BS doesn't win the first game.

Don't know who Station plays but it's not Collins, IL they were a no show for tourny due to snow in Chicago area.

From nky.com:

Holmes outlasted Ballard 45-42 Saturday night in a matchup of Courier-Journal top-10 boys' basketball teams in the Defenders of the Station Invitational at Bryan Station High School.

The No. 2 Bulldogs (5-1) led by as many as nine points in the fourth quarter but had to overcome several turnovers in the final minutes of the game to win.

Ballard tied the score at 24-all in the third quarter, but Elijah Pittman followed with a dunk over several defenders at the other end to put Holmes ahead for good.

Rest Of Story:

BTW, read in the paper the former UK Coach Joe B. Hall was in attendance at Station last night for the Holmes game.

Eta,

This result is a lot closer than most predicted.

Did Holmes struggle late with thBallard's pressure?
