Beechwood 68 Conner 61

As Eta said, BW has a legit shot at the #2 seed. I'd think they would be the lead horse for that spot today.

I'm actually kind of glad they played Holmes first game of the season and not later in Jan or Feb. Anyone who has seen B'Wood knows they have the potential this year to beat ANYBODY in the region. And that's not an overstatement.

They are going to do it with 5 or 6 guys. They don't go deep into the bench.

That's probably their only downfall right now. If Coach Schumate can develop a few more players throughout the season, they'll be tough come tournament time.

I was told that Connor spent alot of effort containing Buettle, pressure full court and alot of double teams. If that is true, it sounds as though Romes was the benefactor. If you saw the game would you please elaborate.

Congrats to the Beechies. I agree that they have a regional caliber team this year.

It wasn't a trap designed for Beuttel, I've heard Connor traps a lot, but Smith and Snyder were more the benefactors of that IMO. Beuttel struggled with the pressure as well IMO.

Are you sure you watched this game? Sloppy game by both teams handling the ball. Probably one of the worst officiated games I've seen in a while. Connor has one true scorer and Beechwood gave him way to many wide open looks. Conner's big guys are soft IMO.:laugh::laugh::laugh:

Let's use the open forums, to discuss the games and take the personal comments, to the PM's.

I was there and don't remember many glaring misses as far as calls. Refresh my memory.

I also thought it was fairly well called. Maybe a few missed push offs or body contact calls, but that is expected.
