I'm not sandbagging. If the Titans were coming in at 100% on defense, I think this would be a low scoring defensive struggle decided in the final minutes that either team could win.

Minus "Big Al" the Titans just aren't the same defense or team. Read post #20...I have the numbers to back my conclusion up. Based on history, I have no reason to expect the Titans to keep playing the same defense minus their best player...

This is a clear case of sandbagging.... ;)

I see you take a different approach to your team than HB does...

Fisher is a great coach. But, it doesn't matter how good you are if you don't have the players. There isn't a defensive player in the league as important to his team's success as Haynesworth is to Tennessee.

The Titans defense in '07 gave up almost a full 17 points more in games played without him. 15.4 vs. 32.3...28 was the lowest they allowed without him and the only time they held a team under 30.

And, that's just minus Haynesworth...Vanden Bosch was playing then. You're taking him out of the equation this time.

Replace the best DT (and possibly the best defensive player) in the league and one of the best DE's with Jason Jones, Kevin Vickerson and Dave Ball...and play the best team in the league.

I figure the Steelers will hit somewhere in the 27-35 point range...and the Titans may not reach double digits.

They'll lose this game in the neighborhood of 3 TD's.

I hope your prediction comes true... :D

Seriously, this is what I think. Now, granted, if the Titans were healthy, I'd probably sandbag a little...

...if I were sandbagging this time, I'd pick Pittsburgh to win 45-0. :D

Well with the game at Tennessee, I think the Titans should be favored... :sssh:

My head says Pitt, but I believe that the Titans are home will pull this out.

If your head says Pitt, what part of you believes or says to you the Titans are home and will pull this out?

Color me confused.

Pittsburgh 20-13.

Sure you do...sure you do...

22-3 in favor of Pittsburgh. BGP has spoken!

Steelers by a TD.

Talk about sandbagging...:p

So many people leaning in favor of the Black'n'Gold makes me nervous …

Most people are aware of what the Titans are without Haynesworth taking care of the middle...

Tennessee hadn't been playing as well anyway and now you're taking their best player out of the equation.

The way the Titans offense has been playing lately, I just don't see them doing much of anything against a defense like Pittsburgh. They could only muster 12 points against the Texans...they'll be lucky to reach the end zone against Pitt. If they win this game, it will be because the defense steps up big without Haynesworth and shuts the Steelers down and possibly scores a TD itself. It's possible, but not likely, IMO.

Go Titans Go!

But with that said... And even though I voted for the Titans... They're going to have to play a pretty darn good game to keep this one within 1 TD.
