I'm already here, I think they said it's supposed to stop by around 2. But then again, it was supposed to snow last night too, so yea.

less than 2 inches of snow and the interstates are paralyzed. Why does so little snow cripple this area. It's not like we never get snow!

Well...it definitely has. Looks like it will probably be done for most of the day now, unfortunately. But, I heard we might be getting more tonight, either that or freezing rain.

The greatness of Kentucky, Ride my bike one day and 2 days later an inch of snow.

feeling pretty good about my meteorological skills right now. We shall see if it remains cold enough inside the 275 loop to avoid the freezing rain/ice. I think it will.

Wouldn't it staying cold allow for freezing rain/ice?

Actually it would have to warm up a little more for freezing rain/ice. It was 24 or 25 degrees during the 11am to 1pm time period when it snowed.

Freezing rain is an odd thing. Air is warmer than 32 degrees below the cloud deck, but cold enough at ground level for it to freeze after it lands as rain.
