I'd like to thank AA for the hook-up on Friday, and previously. He has been instrumental in me rediscovering vinyl records, and the guy really knows how to find a bargain. If you guys were to see all the wonderful records he has passed along to me to help me rebuild my collection in a hurry, you would be amazed at the generosity.

 

I'll probably never be able to properly return the favor, but I'm sure gonna try.

 

Got two new purchases yesterday; listened to them last night while reorganizing my budding collection and putting sleeves on the ones AA gave me:

 

"Jailbreak" by Thin Lizzy (180g vinyl)

"Okonokos" by MMJ (4-record 180g vinyl set)

I sold AA my Marilyn Manson and Pearl Jam albums to support my ridiculous autograph collection. So we helped each other. :lol:

 

You gotta love vinyl though and someday I will really get into collecting, I was listening to the Allman Brothers the other day. YOU CAN'T BEAT GOOD VINYL! :thumb:

IMO AA is the Vinyl Messiah!!! He has passed several good tips to me as well, cannot wait to get to his part of the state and let him show me a few places.

I don't know about the Vinyl Messiah but he is a good friend!!!! If you ever get to his part of the state (and a part I will always claim) he will be a wonderful host:thumb:

Oh my goodness...I am so touched Jim for the thread...Vinyl/Music is a passion for me...I just got back into this Love of vinyl a few years back...I have a seventeen year old son who at the time was 13/14 years old...We came across some records at the 127 yard sale and he was like what are these?There were some old Rush albums I had as a kid and just like that I was in the time machine going back to my youth...So after that I was on the Hunt and things have not been the same since...I have got lots of my vinyl from ebay,Pops resale,Goodwill and the salvation army...Ebay being the most expensive...GW and SA being the cheapest... .50 cents a copy...

 

Now the coolest thing is I know many people who want to get rid of there records...They know I collect them so they give them to me...:thumb:

 

I have a good friend who has been into this hobby longer than me...So when I was getting back into collecting He would give me stacks of records that He had doubles of or something He did not want...It made me feel like a kid at Christmas time...

 

So Jim I come from the World of... If good things get passed along to me,then I want to Pass along to the ones that I consider my friends...:thumb:
