December 12, 200817 yr Author Its hard being a cowboy fan right now. Jerry Jones is getting what he deserves. When you have problem players like TO, Pac man Jones, and Williams your not going to win. Why would Detroit just gve Williams away. Like an earlier post said the cancer has spread. Im actually pulling fo the Giants. Coach Coughlin stuck to his principles whether it cost him his job or not and its paying off. You dont hear Tiki Barber running it anymore. Got rid of Shockey and now Burris. Jones needs to clean house and do things the right way. Well, technically, Burress did himself in. But, I agree with your point. It doesn't even matter that they have Pac Man and Roy, IMO. TO is enough of a disaster. They got a solid run out of him, but its starting to look like the time is up. You gotta know when to fold 'em...like Kenny Rogers said.
December 12, 200817 yr They were saying a lot of the coaching staff feels that Romo trys to force it to Witten too much, and that 3 other WRs, not just TO, went to Garrett and complained about how much Romo was looking for Witten. This time it seems like it isn't just TO. Might not just be TO, but he's the one making the headlines, like always. And if there are others it just means the team is even more divided, which is great news!

The Giants didn't have to suspend him, or put him on the non-football related injury list. I'm sure he would have been available for the playoffs if they wanted him. But you are right, he did shoot his own leg...
December 12, 200817 yr Might not just be TO, but he's the one making the headlines, like always. And if there are others it just means the team is even more divided, which is great news! He didn't go to the media though. He tried to handle it in-house. It's not his fault that the media is talking about it. I think it's pretty obvious that Romo trys to force the ball to Witten. I've been saying it all season long, and after it cost them the game against the Steelers, it looks like a lot of the Cowboys are starting to realize it.
December 12, 200817 yr One starting player told Werder that "We are not together as a team, and that includes the coaches." Another article...

I guess he'd rather throw an interception due to a mix-up with Witten rather than his WR quitting on the route... TO is a disaster-in-waiting. I'm not sure you can defend TO for keeping it in-house, when he complains as much as he does. And, you can't have a real team when you try to cater to a guy like that and give him his way. It always comes down to TO vs. his QB...is that just a strange coincidence? Bad luck for the guy that he always gets stuck with QB's who don't think highly enough of him and who don't look for him enough? You'd think he'd eventually figure out who wins these power struggles. Here's a hint...its not the WR...especially when he's 7 years older.
December 12, 200817 yr He has people on his side in itself is proof. There should be no sides in the locker room it's a team. Couldn't be happier for Dallas.

Wasn't it the defensive players in Philly who sided with Owens as well? I'm not sure the Eagles ever recovered from the TO debacle to be honest. It seems like Donovan McNabb hasn't quite been the same since then, and neither has Andy Reid and the whole organization.

It wouldn't matter if Dallas was 13-0 right now...if Witten was getting more looks, he'd still be complaining.
December 12, 200817 yr :thumb: Its all about TO. It wouldn't matter if Dallas was 13-0 right now...if Witten was getting more looks, he'd still be complaining. He berates his QB's publicly, even walked/trailed McNabb on the sidelines for the cameras again to see. He seeks attention, like a bee to honey. At the same time, Jerry Jones must burden some of these problems, as he signs the players.
December 12, 200817 yr I said the same thing when he was in Philly: Why aren't there big linemen putting the fear of God into TO? This is something that should be settled violently but quietly in the clubhouse. Greg Lloyd would have broke TO in half!
December 12, 200817 yr Considering they were predicted to win the super bowl by a lot of people, and there is a chance they won't even make the playoffs...it is pretty funny. You could say that about the Chargers, Pats, Colts, Seahawks, Saints, Bears, Packers etc. What's funny is how many people hate the Cowboys. There are a lot of teams that might not make the playoffs that had high expectations in the pre season. I'm just not a knee jerk fan like a lot of folks. IF the Cowboys win Sunday night then this is no big deal. If they lose then it will blow up. I stand by what I said.
December 12, 200817 yr We've been hearing rumblings all season from and about TO... Only the most blindly optimstic Cowboys fan could shrug that off as "no big deal". We've seen this story before. What reason do we have to think the ending will be different in Dallas? To me he is the typical primadona WR in the NFL! Plax, CJ, T.O they all are great talents that are worried more about themselves than their team. So you think this is going to be a big deal if Dallas wins Sunday night? How about if they go on and win the Super Bowl. I totally disagree with you 100%! Now if they lose Sunday night it will be a mess and I hope Jason Witten hits him in the mouth in front of the whole nation!
