December 11, 200817 yr Tubby could do no right in some people's eyes. Same people are excusing BCG for stuff they would have been killing OTS for. 100% accurate. :thumb:
December 11, 200817 yr Tubby and friends will play Louisville on December 20th. Game is being played in Glendale, Arizona. Not a tournament, just a showcase type game. :thumb: It'll be a showcare, for sure.

December 11, 200817 yr It'll be a showcare, for sure. If UL wins big by a rather large margin then Minnesota is overrated and feasting on a weak schedule. If UL barely gets by or "goodness forbid" loses, then the Cards will be overrated and the Gophers still wouldn't get any credit. With that said, I expect UL to win, but it will be an interesting game to watch.
December 12, 200817 yr Thanks for leaving us with Michael Porter. Kudos to you though. YOu've managed to give us a starting PG at KY that is worse than Saul. He might have left you with Porter, but wasn't he a big help in landing PP? and don't forget about the big recruits he signed, if you already did :thumb: Tubby left Porter but as far as I recall, he has never inserted him into the starting lineup. Am I wrong? :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: Tough schedule Tubster Tubby is 9-0 with a team that was 9-20 or something like that 2 years ago. Tubby had a good season last year, and should have another nice one this year. He is turning Minnesota basketball around. Tubby could do no right in some people's eyes. Same people are excusing BCG for stuff they would have been killing OTS for. :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

December 12, 200817 yr Tubby could do no right in some people's eyes. Same people are excusing BCG for stuff they would have been killing OTS for. Billy Clyde's been there a little over a year, and actually you're wrong. Some people are already calling for his head.
December 12, 200817 yr ^ Are you Tubby's mother? No, just a big supporter of a man who received a lot of hatred for no reason :thumb:

Now, congrats to Tubby (and asst. coach Saul) Smith on the 9-0 start. People can say what they will but the fact remains that Tubby Smith can flat out coach the game of basketball! 9-0 going into this weekends game with Louisville, I don't think that he can get it but it imo would be great to see the Gophers get the upset on Saturday and to see Tubby stick it to Rick again.

Tubby had a good season last year, and should have another nice one this year. He is turning Minnesota basketball around. Yes, OTS recruited Pattterson to U.K., Patterson was basically a done deal, BCG came in and basically made a visit and told PP that the offer was still good. Tubby Smith was the one that got Patterson to U.K. and not to play the what if game but jmo Jai Lucas would have been a Wildcat as well had OTS stayed. Both U.K. and Tubby have moved on now so no more talk of that from me. I was just confirming/agreeing with what you stated. I am first and foremost a U.K. basketball fan. Always have been and always will be. I now have a #2 favorite team in Minnesota and am pulling for them in every game that they may play unless they should meet U.K. down the road sometime. As for your other statement, you are correct......9 wins the year before he got there, a 20 win season in his first year with basically the same team. That coupled with a 9-0 start this season after losing 3 or 4 (not sure) key starters from last years squad. He has got some good JC tranfers in this season and from the reports that I have heard already has some very good kids coming in for next season.
